Imani is a motivated and accomplished Tanzanian professional with over 18 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting and general business management. Currently serving as the Managing Director of African Banking Corporation Tanzania Limited (BancABC part of Atlas Mara) since March 2019, he lead the development and execution of the bank's strategic initiatives while ensuring operational excellence. Prior to the current role, he cultivated a robust foundation in finance and auditing through successful tenures in both local and multinational banks. 

Rising through the ranks, he held pivotal positions such as Finance Manager, Head of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer Barclays, Access bank and BancABC Tanzania. Prior to moving to these financial Institutions, his journey began with Deloitte & Touche’, where he served as an Audit Associate followed by a formative role as a Management Accountant at Coca Cola Kwanza Tanzania. 

His dedication to professional development and industry leadership is evident through his directorship roles in African Banking Corporation Tanzania (ABCT), Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company (TMRC), and Tanzania Development Finance Limited (TDFL). Outside of work, he is committed to giving back to the community and nurturing future leaders. He engages in volunteer activities and mentorship programs aimed at empowering individuals and contributing to societal development. 

Imani is a Certified Public Accountant (ACPA-T) from the National Board of Accountants and Auditors and holder of a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is a MBA candidate from the University of Dar es salaam and holds a Certification in Directorship from the Institute of Directors and belongs to several professional associations.
