Oscar Mgaya elected to be Chairman of International Secondary Mortgage market Association (ISSMA) Mr Oscar Mgaya, Chief Executive Officer of Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC), and Board member of the AUHF, has been elected to be the Chairman of ISMMA for the next 2 years. This was announced on the 16thof June 2022. Mr Mgaya is taking over from Datuk Chung Chee Leong, President/CEO of Cagamas Berhad, Malaysia.

Mr Mgaya has been serving on the AUHF board since 2012. He has over 20 years of commercial real estate and financial services experience. Prior to joining TMRC, Mr Oscar Mgaya was Director of Real Estate for Limited Brands in Ohio (U.S.A.).

International Secondary Mortgage Market Association (ISMMA) is aglobal association that brings together secondary mortgage markets institutions to focus on advocacy on regulatory issues, share information, and provide support to newly-established institutions in this space. The association provides a platform for member countries to exchange ideas on how to improve access to housing finance for their citizens and ultimately reach the goal of adequate, safe and affordable housing for all. The ISMMA Secretariat is the European Mortgage Federation -European Covered Bond Council (EMF-ECBC)

AUHF isa member-based association of mortgage banks, building societies, housing corporations and other organisations involved in the mobilisation of funds for shelter and housing on the African continent. The AUHF was established in 1984, and currently has 56 member organisations from 23 countries.
